PRP releases 51 candidates list for GHMC polls

Hyderabad,Nov 6:The Praja Rajyam party (PRP) on Friday released the list of contestants for the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections scheduled to be held on November 23.Releasing the list of contestant names, party senior leader Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao told media persons the party leaders had conducted a survey on areas before the elections, where the party has strong base. Based on the survey report only,the party finalized candidates names for the GHMC elections.

On the occasion, he released 51 candidates list for GHMC polls. Most of the contestants belonged to middle and lower middle classes and had come up in life on their own, he said adding all the contestants affirmed that they had no criminal background and pledged not to lure voters with inducements like money and liquor.He said there was no truth in the reports of Praja Rajyam is merging with the Congress party.“It is all media speculation only,” he said.
