‘PCC chief sold tickets in GHMC polls’

Hyderabad,Nov 6: The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president,D Srinivas has earned crores of rupees by selling party tickets for  the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections,alleged Congress workers while staging a half-naked dharna in front of his house on Friday.The Congress workers shouting slogans against PCC chief alleged that an inquiry should be conducted on the property of Srinivas,who amassed crores of rupees in the name of giving tickets to aspirants.They said that genuine party workers,who worked for the party development at grassroot level,were neglected and gave tickets to some fake workers.

This will affect the party chances and sullen the party image in public, they said.They demanded the high command to give tickets in GHMC elections to genuine hard workers and count the winning chances of candidate while giving tickets to aspirants.Meanwhile tension prevailed when the supporters of MP S Satyanarayana and MLA Sudheer Reddy jostled with each other while staging dharna.However,the police took precautionary measures to prevent any untoward incident.
