Cong MLC describes TDP's protest as drama

Congress MLC MS Prabhakar on Thursday alleged that Telugu Desam Party was misleading the people on energy crisis.

Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Prabhakar said that despite knowing the reasons that led to power crisis and the steps being taken by the government to resolve them, the Opposition Parties, especially the TDP, was misleading the people. He described the TDP MLA's hunger strike on the issue as a political drama aimed at drawing political mileage.

Prabhakar also alleged that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was afraid of facing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and that was the reason why he skipped the budget session of the State Legislative Assembly. He said the floor of House could have been the best platform for the TDP chief to raise people's issues. However, instead of resolving people's problems in the Assembly, Naidu misled the people by making speeches in his padayatra.
