The legislators of Telangana Rashtra Samithi were suspended from the House for a day on Monday following their protest demanding a resolution on separate Telangana in the State Legislative Assembly.
The Trs members began their protest as soon as the House met on Monday. They continued protest by gathering at the Speaker's podium when the House reassembled after a brief adjournment. With the Trs legislators refusing to resuming their seats and insisting on Telangana resolution, Speaker Nadendla Manohar announced their suspension from the House for a day.
Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao moved the resolution recommending the suspension of Trs MLAs and it was approved by the voice votes. The Trs legislators were later evicted from the House by marshals.
In protest against the Trs members' suspension, the CPI and BJP MLAs too staged a walk-out.
