Hyderabad,Nov 5: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah will be meeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi on November 7.This is the first time that Rosaiah was being called to Delhi after being sworn in as Chief Minister.According to CMO’s office ,the CM will appraise Sonia about the latest developments in Andhra Pradesh and about the selection of candidates for the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections scheduled for November 23.The CM during his meeting with Sonia,will have a detailed discussion about the crucial Congress Legislature Party meeting which is scheduled to take place in a fortnight or so.
The idea of cabinet expansion will also figure during the discussions.Rosaiah is expected to brief the Congress president about the activities of the rebels in the state and the strategies to be adopted to pacify them and work in unison with them.Apart from meeting Sonia,it is likely that Rosaiah will call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Union ministers. As the state is going through a financial crisis he is expected to appeal to the Centre for the speedy release of funds.All the political circles are keeping a close watch on Rosaiah’s Delhi trip as this is the first time that the High Command has called him Delhi.Rosaiah will be leaving Hyderabad for Delhi on Friday evening to meet Sonia on Novemeber 7.
