Reiterating its demand YSR Congress has asked the main opposition Tdp to move a no confidence motion as all the political parties are of the opinion that the State Government has failed on all fronts..
“We are prepared to move the motion on our own so are some other parties, but since Tdp has the numbers and as a single block if it moves the motion will be admitted by the Speaker,” party senior leader Dr MV Mysoora Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday.
We have been asking the main opposition to move the motion as Chandrababu Naidu has been, in course of his padayatra, criticising the state government. When all parties are in the mood of moving the motion, if Tdp steps back, it leads to many doubts, he said.
"All parties have expressed willingness for the no trust vote. Though any party can move the no confidence motion, the one moved by the main opposition will prevail and we will all support the notice given by Tdp," he said.
If Tdp goes back now, it tantamount to having a tacit understanding with the ruling party and has a save Congress agenda, he said. The motive of no confidence is to highlight the failure of the state government and the doubt about its result need not be debated, he said.
There is no hard and fast rule on the periodicity of the no confidence motion and it can be moved twice in the same session, if the situation demands. “But here we have an opposition party which is shirking its responsibility.
We will give support to the no confidence motion and it will be democratic principles if Tdp takes the initiative, otherwise the conclusions would be different” he said.
