Sharmila resumes Padayatra from Turkayamjal

Ysr Congress party leader YS Sharmila resumed her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra from Turkayamjal in Hayatnagar Mandalam of Ranga Reddy district on Wednesday as hundreds of people followed her.

Sharmila began her walkathon from SSR Gardens near Turkayamjal and will pass through the villages of Ragannaguda, Manneguda Cross Roads, Bongluru, Mangalpally, Seriguda covering a distance of 15.5 km. At the end of the day’s schedule, Sharmila will address a public meeting at Ibrahimpatnam.

Before setting off for the Padayatra, an all religious prayer meeting was held at her Lotus Pond residence here where pundits blessed her.

Sharmila has resumed Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra after temporarily suspending it on December 15 for a ligament injury she sustained the day before. She underwent a keyhole operation on Dec 18 and was medically declared fit to resume the Yatra.

Ysr Congress Party honourary president YS Vijayamma and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife YS Bharati also accompanied Sharmila during the Padayatra.
