The war of words between Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy has reached a crescendo with the former complaining to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy about the Jalayagnam contracts.
Politics in Nalgonda district reached a feverish pitch with the two strongmen accusing each other of earning money through contracts, mostly benami.
Komatireddy, the former minister, had met the Chief Minister and urged him to order a probe into the Jalayagnam contracts which will reveal who has their fingers dipped in dirt. “It is unfortunate that leaders from our own party are trying to defame me in the name of contracts and it will be fair if an enquiry is conducted into the Jalayagnam projects and to whom the contracts were awarded,’ he reportedly told the Chief Minister in a letter.
The irregularities Uttam Kumar Reddy has been speaking of are baseless, he said.
