The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday dismissed the statutory bail petition of YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case.
Justice B Seshasayana Reddy dismissed the statutory bail petition on the grounds that the petition does not merit hearing.
It may be mentioned that Jagan moved two petitions in the court seeking bail, one as a statutory right under Section 167 (2) Cr PC and the other a regular petition under Section 437 of the Cr PC. After the dismissing the first petition, the court started the hearing on the second bail petition.
