Governor accepts Surekha’s resignation

Hyderabad, Oct 30:  The Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari on Friday accepted the resignation letter of Women Development and Child Welfare Minister Konda Surekha.Unhappy over the Congress party’s decision not to make Y S Jaganmohan Reddy the Andhra Pradesh chief minister, the Minister, Konda Surekha submitted her resignation letter to the Governor on Thursday night, violating the normal procedure of submitting the resignation to the Chief Minister.

Earlier, the Raj Bhavan officials returned the letter to Chief Minister Rosaiah for advice of the Cabinet.
It is learnt that Rosaiah after informing this issue to the AICC in-charge of the state Veerappa Moily and seeking High Commands consent forwarded the letter to the Governor’s approval.
