YSRCP flays Chief Minister for remarks on Jagan

Coming down heavily on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for his remarks on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy being in jail, YSR Congress has said, it was the joint conspiracy of Congress and TDP that was responsible for the undemocratic arrest of the Kadapa MP.

“Our leader was arrested for defying Congress High Command and going ahead with the independent agenda of fighting for the cause of people and for not cooperating with Congress,”  YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Wednesday.

Though the Chief Minister claims that Congress and the Government has nothing to do with the arrest of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, it is in the open that the PIL to investigate into the Disproportionate Assets of our leader was filed by Congress MLA Dr P Shankar Rao, who later confided that he has done it at the behest of Congress High Command.

Kiran Kumar Reddy’s remarks that “did Jagan go to jail for SC, ST Sub-Plan or for fight for people’s cause” does not go well with the sequence of events resulting in the arrest of our leader as the case was a joint conspiracy of Congress and TDP.

“YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in jail, because he had won Kadapa Lok Sabha seat with a record majority and his popularity ratings were swelling and YSRCP has been winning election after election and not for the allegations leveled by Congress and Chandrababu Naidu, who are demoralised by the depleting base and cadre,” Rambabu said.

All the cases foisted against Jagan Mohan Reddy are false and his arrest has been undemocratic and Kiran Kumar Reddy and Naidu have been misleading the people with distorted versions, he said.

Kiran Kumar Reddy’s governance has been in dire straits and in pitch darkness as the state is reeling under severe power crisis and its image is at rock bottom while the Chief Minister trying to redeem some of its lost prestige but he will go down in the history as bringing fewer number of MLAs to the Assembly after the next election and will not even have the Opposition Party status, he said.

Expressing no surprise over TDP leader rejecting the resignation of Sujana Choudhary, who did not participate in the voting on FDI in retail issue in Rajya Sabha, he said, “It is a foregone conclusion as the three MPs abstained from voting on the directions of Naidu himself.”

Naidu has been lobbying for FDI into the Heritage Foods as it has to come out of the red and the TDP President is a potential beneficiary from the FDI in retail sector, he said.

The knee surgery of Sharmila was successful and as per doctors advice she will resume padayatra, he said.

On All Party meeting, he said, the Party is discussing the issue and will take a decision in time.

When asked about the tussle with TRS, he said, “YSRCP does not believe in violence. We believe in democracy. It was an issue which brought to the fore the ideology of both the parties.”
