The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Saturday announced that it would not allow any party's flag in the region which opposes the formation of Telangana State.
Addressing a meeting at Daulatabad party office, Harish Rao said that the Congress party should clear its stand on the statehood issue before the all-party meeting on December 28. He said the ruling party should not leave any scope for suspicion and should be firm on its decision favouring the statehood for Telangana. He also demanded that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu himself attend the all-party meeting on December 28 to prove that he was not against Telangana.
While welcoming the activists of other parties in Medak district into the TRS, Harish Rao asked the Congress MPs from the region to decide what they plan to do in future. He asked whether the MPs would like to join the people of Telangana or remain in the party that supports Samaikhyandhra.
Speaking on the occasion, Medak MP Vijayashanti called upon the people to intensify the statehood movement to free themselves from the slavery of Seemandhra rulers.
