TRS accuses Centre of playing with lives of Telangana people

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Friday alleged that the Centre was playing with the lives of people of Telangana.

Addressing a a press conference here, TRS MLA K Tarakarama Rao ridiculed the statement of Union Home Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad wherein he stated that the all-party meeting on Telangana was being convened as Sushil Kumar Shinde has recently assumed charge as the Union Home Minister. He alleged that Azad's statement was a clear indication that the Centre was not serious about resolving the Telangana issue and it exposes the party's vested interest.

The TRS MLA alleged that the Congress party was favouring the rich people from Seemandhra region while completely ignoring the hundreds of youth from the Telangana region who committed suicide for the cause of statehood. He asked Shinde to first learn about the history of misdeeds of Congress party before involving himself with the Telangana issue.
