Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday announced that his party would spell out its stand on Telangana in the all-party meeting scheduled to be held on December 28.

Addressing a meeting during his "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra here, Naidu said that the TDP would clearly specify its stand on statehood for the region in the all-party meeting. Reiterating that he never spoke against Telangana, the TDP chief claimed that it was at his instance that the Centre had convened an all-party meeting on the issue.

Earlier, while holding a tele-conference with the party leaders, Naidu advised his party colleagues to avoid statements on issue until the Centre finalises the modalities for the all-party meeting.

Meanwhile, while addressing meetings during the padayatra, Naidu claimed that it was the TDP Government that brought development in the Telangana region. He also dismissed the allegations that he ignored the Telangana region while in power for almost nine years.

The TDP chief predicted that the YSR Congress would merge with the Congress after the latter withdraws criminal cases against YS Jagamohan Reddy. He also said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi too waiting for an opportunity to merge with the Congress party.

Earlier, Naidu performed special pooja in the Saraswati Temple at Basara on the 62nd day of his padayatra.
