TRS leaders, along with support court arrest

Hyderabad,Oct 28: As a part of `’ program initiated by Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhara Rao,he Trs floor leader in the assembly Etela Rajender organised  the jail bharo program in front of the Karimnagar Collectorate on Wednesday. The Police arrested E Rajender along with 400 Trs  activists to  keep  the  situation  under control.E Rajender speaking on the occasion  asked  Telugu  Desam party chief N  Chandrababu Naidu to make  his views clear on the  issue of free zone.He called Chandrababu as  a backstabber of Telangana.In Sirisilla, the Trs  activists hoisted a black flag on  the Sirisilla  RDO office while  in Ramagundam, Trs MLA Eswar was taken into  custody along with  his  supporters.

Elsewhere in the Telangana region,There  were minor altercations between the police and Trs activists.  In Mahabubnagar  Trs  activists led by K T Rama Rao got into  argument with the police on  duty, however the issue was settled peacefully  with  the  police arresting  the  agitating Trs activists.Meanwhile in Siddipet  there was a mild lathi charge by the police to bring the situation under control. MLA  Harish Rao  along with the Trs  supporters were arrested to keep the situation tension free.

The reason for the revival of the issue of a separate Telangana and  jail  bharo by  the Trs activists is  the Supreme Court judgment of last week making Hyderabad city a “free zone” for recruitment of police, meaning the six-point formula,a guarantee given by the Centre, to protect the interests of people of Telangana in government recruitment will not be applicable in Hyderabad zone.
