KK condemns discrimination against Telangana MPs, journalists

Former PCC President K Keshava Rao on Thursday demanded that the State Government issue a clarification on the incident of Telangana journalists being denied entry to cover Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's programme in the global biodiversity conference.

Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan, Keshava Rao condemned the discriminatory behaviour of the State police and government. Asking the government to issue a clarification on the issue, he demanded that steps be taken to ensure that such incidents do not recur.

The former Rajya Sabha MP also criticised the government for not inviting Telangana MPs for the global biodiversity summit. Although the prestigious event took place in Telangana, the MPs from the region were ignored by the government. He said this would remain a blot on the face of the government.
