Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday accused former Advisor to Government KVP Ramchander Rao of misleading the Congress High Command.
Talking to reporters at his residence at Amberpet, Hanumantha Rao said that KVP was deliberately misleading the Congress High Command over several issues. Describing KVP's book on former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's padayatra as fake, he said YSR never had the habit of writing the diary. "Who benefitted from the YSR's diary release?" he asked KVP.
Hanumantha Rao accused KVP of working covertly to benefit the YSR Congress party. He asked the Congress High Command to realise that KVP was not loyal to the Congress party. He also asked the Central Bureau of Investigation to interrogate KVP to get the real facts about the illegal assets of YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy. He said he would meet CBI Joint Director K Lakshminarayana on the issue.
Regarding Telangana issue, Hanumantha Rao disputed the claim of Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde that smaller states would become a breeding ground for Maoists. He said the problem of naxalism was common for both big and smaller State. He wondered as to how the Home Minister came to such a conclusion.
