Congress party senior leader and MLC K R Amos on Friday took serious note on former government advisor and Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao for releasing a book on former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s padyatra in New Delhi.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, he alleged that the book release function was aimed to directly benefit the YSR Congress party apart from sending wrong message among people regarding the Congress party. He accused KVP of indulging in anti-party activities while staying in the Congress.
Amos said that the Ministers and AICC secretaries should not have participated in the programme, which directly benefits the YSRCP. He said that the Ministers should understand how the Congress party lost its image due to the corruption which took place during the stint of YSR as the Chief Minister.
He reminded that the Congress suffered a defeat in the by-elections due to serious allegations leveled by the YSRCP against the government.
