Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Friday said that he would lodge a complaint with Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar over registration of a case against him at Punjagutta police station.

Talking to media persons, he alleged that West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Stephen Ravindra has insulted the Telangana leaders when they were staging dharna at Vidyut Soudha over the power crisis. He suspected Seemandhra leaders' hand behind the police cases. He alleged that Stephen Ravindra has shown discrimination towards Telangana leaders while he "laid red carpet" when Vijayawada MP Lagadapathi Rajagopal visited RTA Office recently.

It may be recalled that Harish Rao allegedly assaulted an inspector of Central Crime Station and abused Deputy Commissioner of Police Stephen Ravindra during the protest at Vidyut Soudha. The police have booked a case against the MLA under Section 353 on the charges of assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharging his duties.

Taking a serious note on derogatory remarks of Harish Rao, the AP IPS Officers Association too has sought serious action against the Siddipet MLA.
