TRS asks TTD Board to revive Telangana temples

Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Friday called on Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam’s Administrative Board Chairman K Bapiraju and appealed him to focus his attention on reviving the temples in the Telangana region, which are on the verge of extinction.

After having the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, Harish Rao met Bapiraju and urged him to make efforts to revamp the temples in the Telangana region, which he said were in a pathetic State. He asked Bapiraju to release funds liberally for the reconstruction of temples, whose maintenance and upkeep has been ignored by the successive government.

According to reports, Bapiraju assured Harish Rao that he would take a decision in this regard after conducting a review meeting with the officials concerned.
