YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayamma on Wednesday appealed to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to institute a judicial probe into the functioning of Central Bureau of Investigation, which is probing disproportionate assets case against her son and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to media persons, Vijayamma said that the Prime Minister was responded positively to her suggestion and assured to look into it after consulting the officials concerned.
Vijayamma said that she had asked the Prime Minister as to why her son being targeted by the CBI. If it was the sin committed by Jagan was to have been born the son of former chief minister YSR, she asked. She said that her family members were being ill treated since the death of former CM YSR and persecuted by the CBI.
Asking why the name of YSR included in the FIR filed by the CBI, she reminded that Prime Minister has praised his schemes and programmes and described him as role model for the development. Reiterating that YSR acted as per rules and regulations in the allotment of lands for industries, she said that he acted as per earlier government decisions and jagan was no way connected to them.
Stating that Jagan was neither a MP nor MLA, she said that he had never visited secretariat and Camp office anytime. Vijayamma appealed to Prime Minister to investigate the case by a sitting Supreme Court judge. She also raised farmers’ woes in the state with the PM. MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Sabbam hari and MLAs accompanied Vijayamma to the PM.
