The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Tuesday predicted that the President's Rule might be imposed in the State after the announcement of by-elections results.

Talking to reporters while participating in the by-election campaign of TRS candidate M Bhikshapati in Parkal constituency, CPI Secretary K Narayana said that the prevailing political circumstances in the State clearly indicate that the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government's fall was near and it might result in imposition of President's Rule. He said the behaviour of Congress leaders show that they were not confident of winning even a single seat in the by-elections and mentally preparing themselves to lose power.

He appealed to the voters to ensure the victory of TRS candidate in the by-elections to be held on June 12. He also hailed the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee's decision to support the TRS candidate in the Parkal by-elections.

Narayana accused that the Bharatiya Janata Party of cheating the people of Telangana region by not implementing the Kakinada resolution of 'One Vote, Two States' when NDA came to power at the Centre. He alleged that the BJP was enacting a political drama to increase its political strength in the region by inciting regional and communal feelings.
