Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson B Kamalakar Rao on Monday described YSR Congress honorary president Vijayamma as a political mature personality and alleged that she too might have played a role in helping her son Jaganmohan Reddy accumulate illegal wealth.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Kamalakar Rao said that initially everyone felt that Vijayamma was a normal housewife who was forced to enter the political arena due to circumstances. However, he said Vijayamma's speeches and statements were politically mature. Vijayamma, in a recent statement, denied that Jagan was worth Rs one lakh crore and said the family was forced to sell the Bharati Cements shares due to financial needs. Ridiculing her statement, Kamalakar Rao alleged that the family sold the shares to convert the black money into white.
PCC spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy condemned the statements of Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress leaders' allegations that there was no administration in the State. He said the opposition parties were leveling false allegations that the welfare schemes were not being implemented properly. He claimed that all the schemes were properly being implemented and the people were happier than they were during the TDP's regime.
Tulasi Reddy described the TDP as a failed party and YSRC as a two-MLA party and therefore, their allegations do no hold grounds. He advised the opposition parties to give constructive suggestions to the government in the interest of common man.
