Cine actor and TDP leader N Balakrishna on Monday said that YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy landed behind the bars as he committed a mistake.
Talking to media persons after garlanding the statue of his father and TDP founder president N T Rama Rao at Basavatarakam Cancer Research Hospital to mark his 89th birth anniversary, Balakrishna said that the courts should give stringent punishment to those who involved in corruption. He said Jagan too should face severe action if he has indulged in corruption.
Stating that all his family members would work for the TDP, Balaiah said that he would participate in the by-election campaign soon. “Right now I am busy with my film schedule. Whenever I am free, I will campaign in by-elections and work for the victory of party candidates,” he said.
Stating that his father NTR worked for the welfare of poor and middle class people, “all our family members will work to fulfill the unaccomplished dreams of NTR”.
Speaking on the occasion, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu said that the government should distribute the properties of Jagan among the poor. Stating that no one was above law, Naidu said that he would continue his fight against corruption till it eradicates.
Later Balakrishna and Chandrababau Naidu distributed fruits among patients at Basavatarakam Cancer Research Hospital. Earlier, Rajya Sabha member N Harikrishna, Junior NTR and other family members visited NTR Ghat and paid rich tributes to NTR.
Harikrishna said that the family members would make representaitons to instal NTR's statue in the Parliament premises. He called upon people to vote in favour of TDP in the by-elections.
