Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on Friday stated that the Congress party would take severe action against leaders found involved in corruption.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Lagadapati Rajagopal said that the party would not spare anyone found involved in the corruption and would take serious disciplinary action against them. Further, he said that the party would also initiate serious action against those who indulge in anti-party activities. He expressed confidence that no one from the Congress party would join the YSR Congress party.
Stating that he would conduct a survey on people's reaction to CBI investigations against Jagan Mohan Reddy, the MP said that the government and the Congress party were in no way connected to the probe as being alleged by Jagan. He reminded that the probe against Jagan was being done on High Court's directions.
Stating that Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana claimed that he was forced to sign on the GO of VANPIC, he appealed to Jagan to confess his mistakes before the CBI.
Stating that he has not participated in the Prajahitha Padayatra as he was pre-occupied with other works, Rajagopal said that he would soon join the Yatra in Polavaram in West Godavari district. He also said that he would respond on the Telangana statehood issue after May 28.
