Dharmavaram MLA denies having links with Bhanu

Congress party MLA from Dharmavaram Assembly constituency K Venkata Ramana Reddy on Saturday dismissed the statement of murder accused Bhanu Kiran that he had purchased fire arms using letterhead of former MLA and his father K Suryaprathap Reddy.

Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, Venkata Ramana Reddy condemned the confessional statement of Bhanu Kiran before the police and said that his father Suryaprathap Reddy has no links with Bhanu Kiran anytime and that too he was dead at that time. He said that he had met CID Additional Director General SV Ramana Murthy at his office to confirm about the statement of Bhanu Kiran about his father. He claimed that Ramana Murthy assured him that he has no clear evidence over Bhanu Kiran's statement over using his father’s letterhead for purchase of firearms.

"How could Bhanu Kiran use my father's letterhead, who was dead that time," he asked. Stating that even Railway authorities do not give reservation on ticket on MLA's letterhead, he asked as to how Bhanu Kiran could have got arms from a licensed shop.
