Minister for Roads and Buildings Dharmana Prasad Rao on Friday appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Later, talking to reporters at Dilkusha Guest House, Dharmana Prasad Rao said that he appeared before the CBI in connection with the GOs issued during the stint of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He said that the CBI posed 28 questions to him over the controversial GOs including the allotment of land to Vanpic.
The minister said that he answered all the questions as a responsible citizen and provided adequate information to the probing agency. He said he was ready to cooperate with the CBI over the investigations and would provide entire information over the nine GOs issued while he was the Revenue minister during the stint of YSR. He said that he has explained to the CBI the purpose of issuing those GOs.
Later, the CBI questioned IAS officer Samuel, who the Revenue Secretary and Land Administration Commissioner during the stint of YSR.
According to reports, the CBI questioned Minister Dharmana Prasad and IAS officer Samuel to know whether the GOs issued during YSR stint favoured YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy to accumulate illegal wealth through the fictitious companies floated by him.
