Kamalapuram MLA Veerasiva Reddy on Monday fired a fresh salvo against YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to media persons in Kadapa district, Veerasiva Reddy slammed Jagan Mohan Reddy for finding fault with the CBI instead of facing the investigations boldly in connection with the disproportionate assets case. “It is shameful for Jagan to find fault with probing agency instead of facing charges and cooperating with CBI in investigations,” he said.
Earlier, during Odarpu yatra in Guntur district, Jagan took serious note on CBI for not responding to TDP chief N Chandrababau Naidu’s land allotments during his tenure as the Chief Minister. Stating that the CBI would arrest Jagan Mohan Reddy soon, he said that the probing agency might come out with more names in the additional chargesheets.
Veerasiva Reddy condemned the warnings issued by Jagan's supporters to the CBI on his possible arrest. He appealed to the government to initiate stern action against Jagan supporters for issuing such threatening statements.
He said that all YSR Congress leaders would face the same fate on the lines of Jagan for their alleged involvement in corruption. “The people will teach a fitting lesson to YSR Congress party in the ensuing by-elections,” he stated.
