Communist Party Of India (Marxist) state general secretary B V Raghavulu on Saturday took serious note on Telangana Rashtra Samithi opposing Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu’s padayatra on farmers issue in the Telangana region.
Talking to media persons after participating in the district conference, Raghavulu condemned the TRS and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee for obstructing Naidu's convoy during the Warangal tour. “In democracy everyone has a right to visit any place and express their views freely. No one can stop others to visit any place in the State,” he stated.
“It is unfortunate for the TRS and TPJAC to obstruct the padayatra of opposition leaders and press for making his stand clear on Telangana state,” he said adding that at least now the TRS should try to understand the real problems being faced by the people and make efforts to resolve them.
Accusing the state government of being responsible for the power crisis in the State, he demanded that the government at least now focus its attention on power generation in view of coming summer.
Stating that serious political crisis prevail in the State, he said that the groupism has touched its peak in the Congress. Recalling the recent visit of Congress In-Charge of State Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said Azad's visit was aimed at sink differences between Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana.
Naryana said that the CPI would organize three days Mahasabha from February 2-4 in Khammam district to discuss latest political situation and policy matters on various issues.
