No truth in media reports, says Anam

Congress on Tuesday slammed the media reports that the arrest of Vijay Sai Reddy was the conspiracy hatched by the State and Central Governments.

“The reports are baseless which contend that Jagati Publication Vice President Vijay Sai Reddy was arrested to weaken YSR Congress party in the by-elections. There is no basis and they are far from truth,” Anam Vivekananda Reddy said.

“There is no need for the Congress to resort to such tactics and CBI arrested Vijay Sai Reddy for his alleged involvement in disproportionate assets case of Jagan Mohan Reddy,” he told reporters here.

“Congress will go to elections on the strength of its welfare schemes and programmes and seek the mandate,” the Congress MLA from Nellore said.

CBI has arrested Vijay Sai Reddy for admitting that he has committed crime and misused public money. The people behind the money laundering should also be arrested, he said.  

People misusing public money are more dangerous than terrorists, he said and demanded that stern action should be taken on all those who are connected with the case.
