The Telugu Desam Party on Friday announced that it would move a No Confidence Motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government in the ensuing session of the State Legislative Assembly.

Addressing a public meeting at Shahbad in the Ranga Reddy district as part of Rythu Porubata on Friday evening, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu said that the government has failed on all fronts, especially in providing relief to the drought affected farmers in the State. Therefore, the TDP would move a No Trust Motion against the government on the "first day - first hour" of the next assembly session.

Naidu said that the TDP would also organise an all-party meeting in New Delhi on November 21 to discuss the issue of drought situation and farmers' problems in the State. He said the TDP would seek support from the national parties in continuing its fight to get justice for farmers in the State.

Speaking about the CBI probe, Naidu said that he was being victimised by the Congress Government. He said similar probes were ordered against the TDP founder NT Rama Rao when he lost power. He said former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy too ordered many probes against him after the Congress party came to power in 2004. However, he said so far he was not found guilty in any of the cases. He said the recent CBI probe was aimed at tarnishing his image.

Meanwhile, TDP politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu announced that the party would serve the notice of No Confidence Motion an hour before the start of legislative assembly session, as per the rules. However, he said that the TDP's earlier moves to bring such a motion were foiled due to the lack of cooperation from the TRS and YSR Congress party. He said this time he said all opposition parties should support the TDP.
