Telangana Political Joint action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Thursday stated that the baseless allegations were being levelled against the leaders of employees' JAC to dilute the Telangana statehood agitation.

Talking to media persons, Kodandaram said that with an intention to suppress the agitation, baseless charges have been levelled against Telangana Employees JAC chairman Swamy Goud stating that he was involved in some land allotment scam. He said some vested elements have been trying to defame the leaders who spearheaded the agitation.

Kodandaram warned of dire consequences if conspiracies were hatched to sabotage the Telangana movement and he said that the government would be held responsible for the same. He alleged that some Seemandhra leaders were behind the conspiracies being hatched to suppress the movmene.t

The JAC chairman reiterated that Tpjac has no plans to obstruct Racha Banda programme scheduled to begin from November 2 across the State. However, he said that the people of region would oppose the participation of Telangana ministers and MLAs in the programme.

Kodandaram said that November 1, the State Formation Day would be observed as Betrayal Day and black flags would be hoisted on all houses in the region. Dharnas would be also stages in all the districts. He said the Telangana MLAs, who are committed for the formation of separate Telangana state, would sit in for Deeksha at Indira Park from November 1.

Employees JAC leader Srinivas Goud was also present in the press conference.
