The State unit of Communist Party of Party will soon launch an anti-corruption campaign at the village-level across the State.

Talking to reporters after breaking his 24-hour fast against corruption here on Saturday, CPI State Secretary K Narayana said that the party plans to sensitive common man, especially those living in rural areas and village against the corruption. Claiming that his 24-hour fast was a success and his party would take up similar programmes in near future.

Narayana reiterated that all political leaders across party lines must unite against corruption and bring awareness among people. He said that despite the prevalence of a strong anti-corruption wave across the country the Central and State Governments have failed to take the issue serious.

Narayana was offered lime juice by noted writer D Subramanyam to end the fast. Besides Narayana, many CPI activists also took part in the hunger camp.
