Claiming that the Sakala Janula Samme, the on-going general strike, has been successful in mounting pressure on the centre, KTR has accused the Congress leaders of having failed to make the Centre announced a favourable decision on Telangana. He said that the Congress did not participate in the general strike actively and in fact, some of them tried to sabotage the agitation.

The Sricilla MP said that the Congress Ministers, MPs and MLAs together have failed to mount pressure on the Congress-led UPA Government and they have become a major obstacle in the formation of Telangana state. He demanded that the ministers and other elected representatives of the Congress party should resign to mount pressure on the Centre.

Regarding KCR's proposed indefinite fast, KTR hoped that the T-JAC would give go ahead for the same and like December 2009, the fast would force the Centre to make an early and favourable announcement on Telangana.
