Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki on Friday alleged that Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, MP Kavuri Sambhasiva Rao and former government advisor KVP Ramachandra Rao were threatening that they would collapse government if the Centre announces a decision in favour of Telangana state.
Talking to media persons after emerging out of Telangana Steering Committee meeting held at Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy’s residence here, Madhu Yashki alleged that Seemandhra leaders were obstructing the formation of Telangana state.
Madhu Yashki said that the Seemandhra leaders were sending wrong signals to the Centre and opposing the Telangana state. He said that the Telangana leaders were ready to dethrone the government if it fails to honour Union Home Minister P Chidambaram statement made on December 9, 2009.
If the Centre fails to take decision in favour of Telangana, the MP assured that Union Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy would also resign to his post and join the statehood agitation. He said that the Telangana leaders were ready to join hands even with the Bharatiya Janata Party if the Congress High Command decides against Telangana statehood.
MPs Komatireddy Rajagopala Reddy, S Rajaiah and others also condemned the statements of Seemandhra leaders.
