Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday claimed that the process of formation of Telangana State has already begun and the same would be completed in the next two-three months.
Addressing party workers at Telangana Bhavan, KCR said that the Sakala Janula Samme has mounted the required pressure on the Centre and it was forced to initiate the process of Telangana formation. He hoped that the entire process of granting statehood for Telangana would be completed in next three months.
However, KCR did not elaborate on whether he received any direct communication from the Centre's proposal on Telangana or the others options being explored by the Centre to resolve the issue. He also made it clear that Telangana without Hyderabad as its capital was not acceptable.
The Trs president said that people would not believe the TDP leaders until its party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu gives a letter of support for the formation of Telangana. He also denied allegations that the Trs was trying to take mileage out of the ongoing general strike saying that the present agitation was a popular public movement.
Earlier, KCR welcome Kamareddy MLA Gampa Goverdhan to the Trs fold. Goverdhan has resigned from the TDP's primary membership and also to his post before joining the Trs.
