Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday demanded unconditional apology from Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy for arresting Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee chairman Swamy Goud.
Talking to media persons after participating as chief guest in TNGOs employees steering committee meeting held at TNGO Bhavan at Nampally, Chandrasekhar Rao demanded that the Chief Minister and DGP explain the grounds on which Swamy Goud was arrested. He warned Chief Minister of serious consequences if he directs police to arrest the Telangana activists, who participate in the general strike.
Stating that no one can stop the Telangana agitation, Kcr said that people of the region were demanding that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram honour the promise that he made on December 9, 2009 stating that the process of creation of Telangana would begin.
Stating that the problems of all would be resolved with the formation of separate State, he expressed satisfaction over all employees’ participation in the Telangana agitation. He appealed to the police to observe restraint while taking action on Telangana activists as they are their ‘neighbours’.
