The Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths on Friday went to Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s residence as part of investigations into the purchase of villas in Emaar Properties by his daughter-in-law Brahmani.
According to sources, three CBI officials went to Naidu’s residence and grilled Brahmani and other family members for more than one and half hour in connection with purchase of a villa in Emaar Properties.
Earlier, the officials served notices to Brahmani for questioning. As per CrPC rules, the officials went to her house to collect the information. However, since Brahmani and Lokesh were in the US, the officials grilled her family members and recorded their statements.
The officials completely avoided media glaze at Naidu residence.
Earlier, Naidu stated that Brahmani has two villas in Emaar Properties and they were given to her before marriage with his son Nara Lokesh by his brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna.
