Guntur Mp Rayapati Sambasiva Rao on Monday took serious note of threats being issued by the Telangana leaders in case the Centre takes unfavourable decision with regard to bifurcation.
Talking to reporters, the Congress MP advised the Telangana leaders to stop making provocative statements which could disturb law and order situation in the state. He also took serious objection over some Telangana leaders’ statement that they would resort to physical attackon employees belonging to Seemandhra if they did not support general strike of Telangana employees.
Rayapati warned that Seemandhra leaders would retaliate if there were any physical attacks on the people belong to their region. He said that almost 40 percent of Seemandhra people were living in Hyderabad and the state’s bifurcation would jeopardise the interests of both the regions.
The Guntur Mp appealed to the Centre to take a final stance on Telangana at the earliest. However, he said he would abide by the decision of high command on Telangana issue.
Rayapati Sambha Siva Rao said that he would also bring it to notice of Sonia Gandhi over injustice meted out to him over filling of nominated post in the state despite his loyalty and seniority.
