Boycott elections till Telangana formation

Telugu Desam Party Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Thursday called upon the  Telangana leaders to boycott elections until the formation of Telangana state.

Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party office, Dayakar Rao appealed to former Banswada MLA Pocharam Srinivas not to file his nomination for by-elections. Stating that the government would cow down to demand for Telangana, he asked the Telangana leaders to boycott by-elections till the formation of separate state. “All parties must ensure that not a single nomination is filed for the by-elections,” he said.

Accusing Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao for not making concrete efforts towards the bifurcation of state and targeting of TDP and Congress in the name of Telangana, he questioned who was he to seek his resignation letter for the statehood was. In the name of Telangana agitation, he alleged that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members were occupying key posts and getting contracts.   

Another TDP MLA K Dayakar Reddy alleged that Harish Rao has got Adilabad road contract worth Rs 400 crores. He asked Pocharam Srinivas not to file his nomination and be a role model for others in Telangana.
