Describing the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram as the biggest hurdle in the creation of separation state for Telangana, senior TDP leader T Devender Goud on Saturday accused him of not being eligible to continue on him post.
Talking to reporters at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Saturday, Devender Goud said that Chidambaram have cheated the people of Telangana with his double-speak. Despite making an open announcement that the process for the creation of Telangana would be initiated, he went back on his words and started creating unnecessary hurdles. He said it was Chidambaram who introduced the word 'consensus' to stall the grant of statehood for Telangana, knowing fully well that Seemandhra people would never arrive at a consensus on Telangana. He described Chidambaram as the Telangana's villain number one.
Devender Goud clarified that the Telugu Desam Party was never a hurdle in the creation of Telangana. He said even Chandrababu Naidu has made his stand clear on state's bifurcation in last Mahanadu. Expressing confidence that the Telangana would soon be a reality, Goud hoped that TDP would be strongest party in the new state.
