Refuting the allegations that Ysr Congress Party president Jaganmohan Reddy was being targeted for political reasons, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal said that such allegations were being levelling while ignoring the fact that it was the AP High Court that directed CBI to investigate into the alleged illegal wealth amassed by Jagan.
Talking to media persons on Monday, Rajagopal said that Jaganmohan Reddy should not link the High Court decisions to the Congress party. He said the CBI has made all moves following directions of the High Court. Reiterating that Congress did not conspire to tarnish former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s image by including his name in the FIR, he said the party still have highest regards for YSR. He said even the CBI has not made any charges in FIR against YSR.
Lagadapati asked Jagan to prove his probity and come clean from allegations instead of making frivolous charges. Responding to resignations in support of Jagan, he said the MLAs were challenging the court decision by extending support to an allegedly corrupt person and it might lead to serious consequences.
