The Rajya Sabha MP made light of Jagan's Odarpu Yatra saying that there was a limit for claiming the sympathy of the people for his father who passed away about two years back. He said even Rahul Gandhi silently went to one northern state to meet a family who lost their bread earners. Rahul did not opt for any publicity where as Jagan was trying to gain mileage out of the Odarpu Yatra, he said.

Earlier, Hanumanth Rao met the Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy and expressed the need to suitably reward the party activists, who acted as a bridge between the government and the people. He asked the Chief Minister to fill up the vacancies of chairmen to which the former has agreed.
