Book ministers for T suicides: Nagam

Suspended Telugu Desam Party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Friday demanded that the government file charge sheet against all Telangana ministers holding them responsible for suicides that people have committed demanding statehood for Telangana region.

Talking to media persons after submitting an explanation to Assembly Secretary for Speaker Nadendla Manohar’s notices on him along with Revanth Reddy, Nagam claimed that the people committed suicides as the ministers failed to honour their promise on Telangana. “If the ministers standby to Telangana state formation, the people would not have resorted to suicides,” he said.

Slamming the Telangana ministers for attending cabinet meeting, he said the ministers have cheated the Telangana people once again by attending duties.

Responding to Speaker Nadendla Manohar serving notice, Nagam said that he has great respect for the Speaker’s post and filed police complaint for purely emotional reasons. He said he was emotionally disturbed over the people committing suicides for the statehood.

Stating that he has right to submit resignation to his post, Nagam alleged that the Speaker was resorting to delay tactics in accepting the resignations of Telangana MLAs.
