Nagam gets notice for 'Speaker missing' complaint

Speaker Nadendla Manohar on Tuesday served notices to suspended senior TDP leader Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy and his party colleague Harishwar Reddy under violation of Privilege Rights of House.

Seeking explanation from them within a week, the Speaker asked them as to why they lodged a police complaint against him under 'missing man' at Saifabad police station when he went to attend Common Wealth Speaker’s conference in London.

The Speaker said that he had already informed all legislators that he was attending a conference in London. Despite information Nagam has lodged missing complaint against him at Saifabad Police Station seeking his whereabouts.

Nagam said that they were constrained to lodge a complaint with the police as the Speaker was eluding them deliberately to accept their resignations forthwith.
