Criticising former chief minister K Rosaiah for requesting that the separate Telangana agitation be put on hold since Congress president Sonia Gandhi is unwell, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday said that the separate Telangana agitation will not be stopped for any reason.
“We wish and pray for the early recovery of the Congress leader, but the agitation could not be stopped for any reason. Hundreds of youth from the region are dying for the separate state but the agitation is continuing, like it continued even after the death of Prof Jayashankar,” KCR said. Addressing the gathering at the audio release of the Telugu film ‘Poru Telangana Kalinga function hall at Banjara Hills on Saturday, the TRS chief said that, “unanimity is never possible on the issue. While on one hand the people of Telangana are in favour of separate state, the Seemandhra leaders stress for keeping the state integrated.” KCR further said “we will bring storms and build pressure on the Centre for the creation of the separate state.” The TRS chief also ridiculed the speech of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram in Parliament, saying that it was like ‘splashing water on buffaloes,’ and a sign that the Centre was brushing aside the demands of the Telangana people. Expressing his best wishes for the success of the film ‘Poru Telangana’ KCR said that the film will be a hit like the ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’. The film is scripted by R Narayanamurthy is expected to be released soon. Narayanamurthy has also acted in the film. BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya, CPI secretary K Narayana, folk singer Gaddar, director N Shankar, music director Vande Mataram Srinivasulu, Suddala Ashok Teja, Nandini Sida Reddy and others participated in the function.
