He asked why the centre is not taking steps for arrest of Dawood Ibrahim, involved in several criminal cases, on the lines of American government which killed Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, for his involvement in destroying World Trade Centre.

He said that Telugu people in US have never raised objection for two Telugu-speaking states.

They asked the Centre and state government to resolve the sensitive issue in amicable way as it is hampering the state government, he stated.

Kishen Reddy said that he had consultations with Indian Embassy in US over the visa-fraud charges leveled against 2000 students from Andhra Pradesh, who are pursuing studies at the University of Northern Virginia at Annandale.

He assured the students that he would represent to the Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj and senior leader Arun Jaitley and  request them to raise the issue  of  safeguarding the interests of students with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna.

He criticised Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for his failure to solve people’s problems including Telangana state and deletion of clause 14F of  the Presidential orders.

Except writing letters, Kishen Reddy alleged that Chief Minister is not taking any initiative.

He condemned the state government for invoking Essential Services Maintenance Act, ESMA, on the Telangana employees, who are agitating for the statehood and for redressing their grievances.

Reacting to the Speaker Nadendla Manohar rejecting the resignations of Telangana elected representatives, he said that the party would convene a meeting soon to discuss over the issue.
