Telangana Rashtra Samithi Floor Leader Etela Rajender on Monday suspected the hand of Congress In-Charge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad behind the decision of Speaker Nadendla Manohar to reject the resignations of Telangana leaders.
Talking to media persons on Assembly premises, Mr Rajender alleged Mr Azad was misusing the Speaker’s post in the name of Telangana state and murdering democracy in the state by violating the rights of elected representatives. He alleged Mr Manohar has become `puppet’ in the hands of Mr Azad. Mr Rajender also alleged that the Speaker was acting at the behest of Seemandhra leaders and capitalists and that was the reason behind him rejecting the resignations of Telangana leaders. The Trs MLA appealed to Congress and Telugu Desam Party leaders to submit resignations afresh. “Submit your resignations again, and hand them over simultaneously, by keeping your party agenda and flag aside,” Mr Rajender told the MLAs of the two parties. Stating the Telangana state can be achieved with commitment and concrete efforts only, he appealed to all Telangana leaders to join the agitation.
