The Telangana Congress Leaders announced their preparedness on Tuesday to visit New Delhi for talks with centre on Telangana issue. A meeting held in the residence of   Minister K Jana Reddy the Telangana Congress Leaders expressed the view that when the Seemandhra leaders are meeting the central leaders opposing creation of the state then what is the harm in their visiting Delhi and meeting central leaders.

Talking to the media persons on after the meeting Komat Reddy Rajagopal Reddy said that the Telangana leaders are expected to leave for New Delhi on Thursday morning. He said that the leaders would tell the centre that they are willing for the talks to make it clear that nothing short of Telangana is acceptable for them.

The Congress General Secretary and in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad  last evening said   that he would convene a  meeting of  all the three regions. However he did not say when   the meeting will take place.

The Seemandhra leaders, currently on visit to New Delhi made it clear to the Centre   that it should not take any step that would harm the unity of Andhra Pradesh.

The Seemandhra leaders also insisted that the Centre should immediately implement the sixth option of the Justice B.N. Srikrishna Committee to keep the State united.  They had also highlighted the problems Seemandhra would face in irrigation if Telangana was carved out.

Earlier in Hyderabad, the Telangana leaders refused to meet Mr. Azad as they were hurt by his comments in Beijing that consensus and Assembly resolution were needed for the formation of Telangana. They said that they would not interact with Mr. Azad unless he withdrew his controversial statement.
