Telangana Rashtra Samithi Floor Leader in the state Assembly Etala Rajender on Saturday demanded that YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy shed his ambiguous approach on Telangana and take a definite stand on the issue.
Talking to media persons after attending the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee’s Steering Committee meeting at Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce at Secunderabad, Mr Rajender said that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s statement on Telangana left much to be desired. He added that by putting the onus of taking a decision on the separate statehood issue on the Congress party, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy had left his supporters from Telangana confused. “Mr Jaganmohan Reddy should clarify on his stand on the Telangana demand,” Mr Rajender said. The YSR Congress Party chief had, earlier in the day during the concluding day of his party’s maiden plenary, avoided making his party’s stand clear on the contentious issue by saying that, “We respect the Telangana sentiments.”
